Jabarri Huntsberry is the Executive Director of Birch House Foundation, an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. He is committed to fostering a community where every person feels valued, respected, and supported.
His dedication to this work is personal. Growing up, Jabarri helped care for a close family member with developmental challenges. He witnessed moments of joy and connection, as well as the difficulties families can face when seeking support. Those experiences shaped his belief that people should be seen as individuals, not cases, and that families deserve to feel heard.
As Executive Director, Jabarri leads with compassion and a commitment to helping adults with disabilities thrive.

At Birch House Foundation, our staff are at the heart of the care we provide. We choose team members for their experience and training, as well as the compassion, patience, and commitment they bring to supporting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
With backgrounds in healthcare, social services, and behavioral support, our caregivers and support professionals assist with daily routines, encourage life skills, and provide care tailored to each resident’s needs, abilities, and goals. They offer practical help when it’s needed while creating opportunities for residents to make choices and grow in independence.
Meaningful relationships are central to our approach. Our staff take time to learn each resident’s preferences, strengths, and aspirations. By listening and building trust, they help create an environment where people feel understood, respected, and empowered.
Safety, dignity, and consistency guide our work every day. Our team is trained in communication, behavior support, and crisis prevention, while also striving to make Birch House feel warm and welcoming.
More than caregivers, our staff are advocates and steady sources of encouragement. Together, they help make Birch House Foundation a community where every resident belongs and has the support to live a fulfilling life.
